General

The ProDAQ 3048 Intel® Core™ Duo processor based Slot-0 Controller is a PC-compatible high performance platform for embedded applications. It supports the 2.0 GHz Intel Core Duo processor T2500 containing two CPU cores and a shared L2 Cache. The 667 MHz front side bus connects it with the Intel 945GM Express chip set.

DRAM Memory

The ProDAQ 3048 supports up to 4 GByte of 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM on-board. It can be accessed either from the processor or the VXIbus using the dual channel architecture.

PCI/PCI Express Busses

The ProDAQ 3048 features the ICH7-M I/O controller Hub, which provides 4 PCI Express root ports and a 32-bit PCI bus. The 32-bit PCI bus connects to the VXIbus interface, while the PCI Express ports connect to the Gigabit Ethernet interface and to the PMC expansion slot.

Super VGA Controller

High-resolution graphics and multimedia-quality video are supported on the ProDAQ 3048 by a built-in Intel 950 graphics media accelerator. Screen resolutions up to 2048x1536@75Hz and up to 16M colors are supported by the graphics adapter.

Ethernet Controller

The ProDAQ 3048 supports Ethernet LANs with a Intel 82573L Ethernet controller. 10 Base-T, 100 Base-TX and 1000 Base-T are supported via a front-panel RJ45 connector.

I/O Ports

One 16550-compatible serial port, a combined PS/2 keyboard and mouse connector and two USB 2.0 host controller ports are featured on the ProDAQ 3048's front panel.

PMC Expansion Slot

One PMC Expansion slot provide the capability of customization to satisfy the application needs. The PMC slot excepts PMC expansion cards operating at 3.3V or 5V signaling levels and can operate in either 32-bit or 64-bit mode at both 33MHz or 66 MHz. It also supports a XMC (PCI-Express Mezzanine Card) interface via an x1 PCI Express Link.

Hard Disk Drive

The ProDAQ 3048 features a high-density 2.5" hard disk drive. Different capabilities are available.

Trigger Interface

The ProDAQ 3048 supports both the VXIbus TTL and ECL trigger lines. Trigger signals can be generated under software control. On detection of a trigger signal a local interrupt can be generated.
