The ProDAQ 3424 Function Card provides eight channel, each one equipt with an
24-bit Sigma-Delta Analog-to-Digital Converter with differential inputs and a
maximum input range of +/-10.24V on a double wide function card. This allows
for a total number of 32 fully differential input channels per VXIbus slot by
fitting four ProDAQ 3424 function cards on a ProDAQ motherboard.
The front-end of the ProDAQ 3424 card provides the user with a flexible solution for a wide range of
applications. A very useful feature is the possibility of selecting between either differential or
single-ended input. For the single ended input the offset voltage from generated by the on-board DAC
can be used to remove the DC voltage from the input signal and thus adjust the input range to the
needs of the application. For calibration purposes, the input of every channel can be grounded or
connected to the voltage output of the ProDAQ 3201 high-precision voltage reference.
The ProDAQ 3424 function cards provides source capabilities for ICP sensors as well as an interface
for accessing Transducer Electronic Data Sheets (TEDS). This makes the card especially useful in vibration
measurement applications.

The supplied driver automatically detects
and initializes all function cards installed into
a ProDAQ Motherboard Module, removing
any possibility of configuration errors.
The ProDAQ 3424 Sigma-Delta
Function Card is supplied with VXIplug&play
drivers for the WIN95 and WINNT frame-works.
