The ProDAQ 3940 Switching Function Card is one of the ProDAQ high density cards which can be fitted into ProDAQ Motherboards. ProDAQ modules are the most versatile VXIbus modules on the market. They provide the user with the highest channel density and functionality available today.

The ProDAQ 3940 function card is a switching card with 32 independently controlled reed or solid state relays. Two relays occupy 3 terminals on the function card front panel connector. This means that they share one common terminal.

Optional a low resistance resettable PTC fuse ensures protection of relay contacts when faulty conditions (overcurrent) occurs. After faulty condition is removed, PTC fuse returns to low resistance state, so device can be still used without costly service intervention. Two surge suppressors provide overvoltage protection of relay contacts.

Magnetic screening of relays allows for dense packing and eliminates problems of magnetic interaction.

The ProDAQ 3940 Switching Function Card is supplied with VXIplug&play drivers, that can be used with all popular software packages. The driver automatically detects and initializes all the function cards installed in one of the ProDAQ motherboard modules, removing any possibility of configuration errors.

The ProDAQ modules allow the user to safely and simply expand their existing hardware and software systems.
